Phytoremediation has many success stories already but as researchers continue to improve both the plants and techniques, its potential is boundless. It has great uses as a way to remediate the damge done to the environment by humans. Another possible use is to neutralize natural occurring acid soil which covers over 1/2 of the world's 8 billion acres which could be used for farming. Phytoremediation has a great potential to improve the quality of life today and to leave a better world for future generations. |
